Songbook with guitar chords

Select some text or a text frame and run the script. It will find the text between square brackets and create an anchored text frame for each.

You can fine-tune the position of the text frames with chords using the object style like so:

The key is using the anchored object options to align left bottom corner of the “cord” with the center of the anchor so that large cords became left aligned.

I also applied a paragraph style from the object style: for demonstration I set it to blue color:

You can Undo/Redo the whole script

Using the Convert guitar chords in frames back to text script you can reverse the selected text back to it's original state.
